- Takayama Jinya

This is the only place in Japan where the main buildings of the county government office still remain, as it was the place where the county and deputy officials governed during the Edo period. A morning market is also held in front of Jinya, and many shops are lined up and crowded.

Located in the precincts of Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, 11 real floats pulled during the Takayama Festival in the fall, which are replaced three times a year.
- Kusakabe Folk Museum

The Kusakabe family prospered as an official merchant of the bakufu during the Tenryo period. The house was destroyed by a fire in 1875, but was rebuilt in the Edo period architectural style with the skills of Hida masters, and was designated as a national important cultural property in 1966 as a private house of the Meiji period.

It is an open-air museum that reproduces the traditional houses and scenery of the Hida region. On the vast grounds, gassho-style private houses and old private homes have been relocated.

It is a mountain sightseeing road connecting Hirayutoge Pass in Takayama City to Tatamidaira, Mt. Norikura In order to protect the precious nature of Mt. Norikura, restrictions are in place on private cars, and buses, taxis, and bicycles are allowed to pass through the area.
- Shinhotaka Ropeway

It is the only double-decker ropeway in Japan, and visitors can easily experience the world above the clouds at an altitude of 2,156m.

With its beautiful natural surroundings and majestic mountains, it is a popular base for hiking and trekking. There are restrictions on private cars throughout the year. Please take a bus or taxi from Hirayu Onsen.
